Someone just asked me what size fish I would like to be: large fish in a small pond? or a small fish in a large pond? I think I know my answer now:
A moderate fish in a large school in a big pond.
I don't want to be the guy that everyone talks about. And I don't want to be the guy that noone talks about. I want to be the guy that contributes to something that everyone talks about, and I want to be well-known to the people I work with. I think it's sometimes that mindset that takes people to open source development, and why I'm enjoying it so much.

Talk about avoidance ;) You don't even attempt to answer the questions with your options :p
As much fun as medium is, it's always more adventures as a small fish.. go at it. And you're an aussie.. NEMO SPIRIT!! Be a Marlin in your world. Though in that same thinking, it's good to have a good buddy/friend with ya on these adventures, no matter how random/odd they are. Quirky is fun. (I can *spell* quirky if I was veggie soup)
I might be an odd one but part of me wants to be that big fish in the small pond. The big fish may be ignorant and pridful and will probably eat the first baited fish-hook... but isn't it like the head CEO of some crazy company? Sure there are other ponds around, but this is the head of *this* pond. I don't know.. I see that as aiming high.. but also saying (if this was in interivew) "i want your job. I want to be you, the big fish". NOt a good impression. Mom said *no, never say that at an interview"
That is my current babble.. Babblefish.. hehehehe
