Romantic Horse-drawn Carriages

Went walking through Quebec city today with one of the guys from work. A stench wafted past, accompanied with the clopping of hooves. Apparently horse-drawn carriages are a romantic way to get around this old (and beautiful) city. Just a pity that the whole horse itself smells as bad as its backside. I'd wonder how you'd smell after the ride. :(

You would smell OK.
Using Einsteins logic its a problem of relativity. You are in the carriage, moving, 'orse does its thing, smell moves off.
Even better, there's a 50% chance you are breathing out at that time of air pocket passing by nose.
There is also a good chance of a cross wind so you are not in the direct line of fire (so as to speak).
It is also why they put the driver up the front as an absorption device and to create a wind deflector.
Those who are stationary bystanders, as you were, cop a full frontal attack.
The message? Go for a ride or have s..t put on you.

Have you seen the beer ad where the couple get into the back of a sleigh? The guy hands the girl a candle.. and the reindeer farts..
